Sketchline Architecture, PLLC is a small, collaborative architectural firm based in downtown Blowing Rock, NC, specializing in custom residential design in western North Carolina with select small-scale commercial projects. Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Project Manager to lead the design and coordination of custom residential and select small commercial projects. This role requires a well-rounded individual who combines creative vision, technical expertise, and strong client relationship skills. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with the firm’s principal architect, manage multiple projects concurrently, and ensure alignment with timelines, building codes, and client goals. The role also involves close interaction with a trusted network of interior designers, engineers, and builders. This is an in-office position based in Blowing Rock, NC, and is not a remote role.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of residential and small commercial projects.
Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals.
Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring timely completion.
Create and refine 3D models, renderings, and construction documents.
Conduct site analysis and integrate findings into the design process.
Ensure compliance with building codes and zoning regulations.
Collaborate closely with the principal architect and project team.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, building science, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in residential design and drafting.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Revit, with experience in rendering software such as Lumion or Twinmotion.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $55,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience and skills.
Paid holidays and PTO (no health insurance coverage).
Flexible work schedule, though in-office collaboration is preferred.
