About the North Carolina Architectural Foundation
The North Carolina Architectural Foundation (NCAF) is the only nonprofit organization in North Carolina whose sole mission is to promote the appreciation of architecture and architects among the public.
Originally formed in 1948 and becoming a 501c3 in 2016, the NCAF has an independent board of trustees and maintains a valued affiliation with AIANC. The NCAF has evolved throughout its history, and recently adopted new bylaws, policies, messaging, and branding to prepare for a fresh reintroduction to the North Carolina public.
