The North Carolina Design Conference will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center, 500 S. Salisbury Street. Hotel rooms have been reserved across the street at the Raleigh Marriott City Center, 500 Fayetteville Street.
Rooms must be reserved by Friday, August 12, 2011. A large statewide group is in town the same weekend, so do not delay in making your reservations.

Hunt Library- The James B. Hunt Jr. Library will be a “signature” building that embodies the essence of North Carolina State University’s Centennial Campus as a community built around knowledge. This iconic building will be a vibrant intellectual and social forum for the campus community, showcasing the latest technologies and research achievements of the university. Currently under construction, you can be one of the first to get an inside look at the future for NCSU’s Centennial Campus. (Friday, 2:00 PM; included)
NCSU’s Chancellor’s Residence-NC State’s new Chancellor Residence is being built on State’s Centennial Campus and will be both a residence and a public facility for receptions and events. The design, led by NC State College of Design Dean and former AIA President, Marvin Malecha, FAIA is meant to be modern, approachable, and sustainable, with features including geothermal heating and solar panels. Green Square Parking Deck- Take a hard hat tour of the Green Square Project which will include a SECU Branch Office, parking deck, a twelfth floor meeting center, a sixth floor roof terrace and a four story atrium which engages a new civic plaza that is part of the State’s Nature Research Center.
